The GammaMaster was designed to offer always-on radiation protection. An ordinary hand held radiation meter is usually not available when it is really needed.

The policeman responding to an emergency might not be aware that radioactive material is involved and he will not even think about bringing a Geiger counter. The person who picks up a lost radioactive source, without knowing what it is, or who walks into a radiography shoot does not carry a meter.

This is where the GammaMaster comes in. You don't have to think about radiation. When the radiation level goes up the GammaMaster will let you know.

Accidents involving radiation as well as lost radioactive sources have been an issue for some time. The possibility that someone may deliberately use radioactive material to cause harm or that someone could sabotage a nuclear facility to release radiation has become serious only recently. Now, we face the possibility that stolen radioactive sources could be planted in public places, such as movie theaters.

The GammaMaster is a very nice looking watch. It does not look like civil defense gadgetry, that you take off when you don't think it is needed. The GammaMaster is worn all the time.

On the lighter side, the GammaMaster is a great conversation piece and a sign of our times.

Our customers include emergency responders, doctors in nuclear medicine, as well as ordinary citizens.
